19 / 4 / 2009 -- Sprinter
Greetings.

I know I've said it quite often recently, but now it's actually true - development for Project Omega has started in earnest. I say this with complete honesty now, since Week III really did involve actual coding. So despite my best efforts, I cannot put it off any further.

...I'm joking on that last bit, of course. Again, I managed to cram the majority of the week's work into a few days, but I don't think the quality suffered any.

The end fo Week III marks the first successful completion of a development week, and though it was relatively light, I have a good feeling that the trend will continue. I won't make any major changes to the overall process...yet

One thing I will change, however, is the weekly "release schedule". As it stands now, I will update the test repository every two weeks, on each even Week number. So that's roughly five test updates per Phase (four this time, since Week II has passed).

As far as overall Week processes are concerned, I will be doing weekly code reviews before starting development for the next Week. This should allow me to catch any major flaws that may have slipped past while I was working, as well as afford another opportunity for me to become that much more "intimate" with the system. That intimacy will really be important, since more than 95% of this code will be brand new...not much recycling for this iteration.

On other fronts, I don't quite have this past Friday's INFINITY ready yet...the audio as a whole is processed, I just haven't had the time to split it for podcast consumption. Still working on getting the older missions tidied up, too.

This coming Friday's show is canceled, as there is another event already taking place that will consume my time. As for the rest of the year, that leaves May 1st and May 8th for the final missions of Campaign Sierra-0-9. I swear, every Campaign seems shorter than the last...

Mr. Bond, signing off.
