13 / 10 / 2008 -- Spell-check is Good, No?

Greetings.

Ugh. I really should spell-check my newsposts before I upload them, as I've found many mistakes in recent ones over the week or so they reside on the front page. I'll attribute it to my still getting used to using a Dvorak keyboard layout...

Anywho, finished some light planning and diagramming the past week for Project Omega. This week I'll be tackling the first design period for the database, something I've been decently excited about the past month or so. While I'm all for planning stuff out carefully, sometimes just making something (real or otherwise) is too tempting to wait, even if it won't be used in the near future. But since the plan dictates that I design now, there's no worries, right?

In other news, I'm starting to play Unreal Tournament again. The last time I played was...maybe a year and a half ago, at least. While I can't quite handle Godlike at the moment (for now...) I am glad to see most of my moves are intact. I don't know what it is, but that game has something so damned alluring to it. There's a certain...rush to picking up a keyboard and mouse and, with a few deft movements, scoring the winning kill in a match that has the top five players barely a frag apart.

I don't play online, mind you, as I'd get my ass cleanly handed to me. I am perfectly content in cursing out computer-controlled virtual opponents (and teammates) from the lag-free environment of my own network.

Mr. Bond, signing off.
