28 / 9 / 2007 -- Space (and Time) Limited
Greetings.
Relatively slow past few days. I say "relatively" because last time I posted I had a bunch more stuff to talk about. Guess I shouldn't really complain, since I'd really like just a few minutes of absolutely-nothing-to-think-about time, but I digress.
So, I guess this time around I'll get a bit more personal than I usually do, just because it gives me something to talk about, and you something to read; and perhaps somewhere in the middle, we can meet up. Twisted philosophical humor aside, maybe my ramblings will have some merit and relevance.
Ever since my first hard drive crashed for my laptop, I've been looking to increase my storage space. The replacement I bought was half of the original drive, 40 GB instead of 80 GB. At the time, I thought that would be plenty -- under normal circumstances, I usually had more than half of the space free. Except now, since I've begun backing up my DVDs, I can't backup more than one at a time before transferring it to my networked storage, which involves a fairly decent transfer time. Ah well...such as finances are now, I can't afford an upgrade.
As far as phpBB3 goes, it seems like quite the upgrade over phpBB2. Very slick interface, everything categorized in an understandable fashion...and on top of that, it gives us another chance to clean up the place. Not a bad piece of software.
Last up for today...last.fm. I don't know how I missed this, it being a pretty big operation and all. But anyways...it's a neat site worth checking out if you haven't seen it already. Lots of cool playlists, lots for free...what could be a better deal?
Mr. Bond, signing off.
