Greetings.
Finals week, finals week...this semester I lucked out a bit - only three exams out of four classes, with none truly comprehensive, at that. Just a couple more papers to write, and then we're on our way.
I fixed a particularly stubborn bug last week, one that had pestered me for a couple weeks prior. Not only that, but the resultant fix is much cleaner and (I would guess, though benchmarks elude me) faster. On the whole, a very productive week, and functioning site interaction - i.e., add content through a direct interface - is greatly inspiring.
I will be returning home on Thursday, and staying there for a couple of weeks. That means no access to my test server and the various goodies on it, so I'll be coding blindly for awhile. Hope the mess doesn't get too gnarly on my return.
Shoot, there was something else...oh, got it!
Just recently discovered a group called
Zelda Reorchestrated, and they've got some damned fine music. I know they've been around for a good amount of time already, but it's new to me. And who doesn't like hearing about free tunes?
Also,
OverClocked ReMix is celebrating their 10-year anniversary at present. I myself started following them around late 2005, early 2006.
For my Linux pals out there, I've found a pretty nifty music sequencing / composing / mastering program called
LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio). Based on my usage of it over some days, I'd call it an overall very nice package - don't let some negative reviews sour your perspective. As such, one of my...erm..."experiments" may be hitting the Network soon. Recall that my definition of "soon" may not exactly match that of a more
contemporary dictionary.
Mr. Bond, signing off.
