21 / 12 / 2008 -- Postmortem

Greetings.

Well, I know for sure now...my primary laptop is completely fried, no possible way to salvage it. So, I took it apart, screw by screw, and stripped it down to he mainboard. There was a decent-sized scorch mark across several circuits, among a decent amount of dust.

Oh, well. At least I could save the hard drive, memory, and a handful of other parts.

In other news, Phase II of Project Omega is completed! We now have a solid database filled with basic (albeit incomplete) information about past and current projects, with a few tidbits about future projects. As such, select documents from Phase I have been declassified, meaning that they are open for viewing by the general public. Certain documents are still under wraps, as they could pose a security risk given the info they contain. Link below:
Declassified Phase I Documentation

With the completion of Phase II, we are moving into another break period, from 12 / 22 to 12 / 28. Phase III will include designing the user interface and maybe some basic implementation thereof. I don't think there will be much public-facing interface until well into subsequent Phases, but that depends on how much I am able to accomplish in that time.

One more thing:
A short time ago, I received word from a good friend of mine that he has put up a new site. He has placed a link to Zero Hour Productions there, so I feel it is only right to return the favor. From what is written on the front page..."FMD.com is a place for random things that get written in life, such as articles for gaming, computer hardware, programming, etc. It's for discussion of everything in life."

Not too much different from here, eh? But from the looks of it, he's a bit ahead of us in terms of public-facing material. Heh heh. No big deal.

Mr. Bond, signing off.
