Greetings.
Well, it's just about here...very close to the start of Phase IV. I'll admit I'm a bit apprehensive about it, since this will now begin the actual system development portion of Project Omega, and it's scheduled to span about 50% of the entire project. So, in a mere 60 weeks, Project Omega should be about developed and ready to go. I am a bit unnerved by how far along this is already...
There's a good chance I'll have to retool Phases IV thrugh VIII to better fit the development cycle. Thus far, Project Omega has largely been documentation and planning, along with a handful of other (relatively) low-intensity tasks, which contributed a great deal to its flexibility. But now that serious coding is approaching, it will undoubtedly be more difficult to work around barriers that will appear.
Still, I've got one more week before it gets serious...like previous Phases, Week I of Phase IV will be dedicated to setting up the initial infrastructure and documentation. This involves a lot of...shall we say..."coerced foresight". That is, I need to look into the future and predict what I will need to do for the next 12 weeks. Not only the general gist of things, but essentially a week-by-week breakdown of what documentation and real production "payloads" (that's what I call them) will be the best goals. Not something to ignore; thankfully, most of it is relatively static over the entire Phase.
And I've got a few more of the most recent INFINITY recordings uploaded. Not quite ready to drop the entire lot yet, but the first three are ready for your listening pleasure. This past Friday, I noticed that the recording quality wasn't the best...but I have since corrected the issues, and every recording starting with Mission 7 (this week Friday) will be back to "normal", so to speak.
So, let's get down to business!
Mr. Bond, signing off.
