Summer 2014 State of Affairs

Howdy everyone! It's been entirely too long since we've posted on our blogs or updated our public-facing information for Project Auspice, but I do have a few interesting tidbits to share. Project development has been on hold since mid-March due to life events for ZHP team members, though Farran and I met on Monday evening to discuss our next moves. We're beginning to hammer out what concepts we want to focus on, and it sounds like the scope of our first game is narrowing - this allows for us to work on story and plot more, rather than just bulking out information about pieces of the world we're building. It also allows us to decide on our art restrictions and music styles. Speaking of...

Welcome to Tony Konzel, otherwise known as Saxxon! Saxxon will be working with me on music composition and the mastering process; in fact, his compositions can be heard at his website (go check them out!). Saxxon's music focuses intently on various electronic styles, and his knowledge covers not only that realm, but sound design and mixing as well. He'll be a great asset and will definitely spice up the sound of our games, but I'll let him introduce himself. ;)

My aspiration is to begin poking around with musical ideas soon, and if our last meeting is indicative of progress, we may start churning out concept art in the next weeks. Farran and I will be working on map content, so we might be able to show off the very beginnings of our world soon, as well. Stay tuned for updates!
